A little professional update
For the last few months, I’ve been quietly building a graphic and instructional design practice alongside my full-time role.
What started as a few small projects has grown into ongoing work with several great clients, partnering with individuals and organizations on graphic design, content creation, digital communications, presentations, websites, social media, and other creative projects.
This summer, I decided to invest more intentionally in that growth by transitioning to part-time in my current role, allowing me to dedicate more time to my growing freelance opportunities. Thank you so much to those who has encouraged, referred, hired, reassured, or supported me along the way. It means more than you know.
I’ve spent the last 15 years working at a district I genuinely love, one that has supported me, both professionally and personally, many times over the years. Along the way, I realized I wasn’t just building educational resources. I was learning how to strategize, tell stories visually, communicate clearly, and design experiences that help people learn, connect, and take action.
Those skills happen to translate remarkably well across industries. The more I work with clients across different industries, the more I see that good design, thoughtful communication, strategic thinking, intentional content, and strong partnerships are universal needs.
Whether this ultimately looks like supporting one organization long-term or continuing to collaborate with several clients, I’m excited to keep building a career centered around what I love doing and helping organizations solve meaningful problems through thoughtful, research-informed design, clear communication, and human-centered strategy. I feel incredibly fortunate to do work I genuinely love, and I’m grateful for every opportunity to partner with organizations that care deeply about the people they serve.
If you know of a business, nonprofit, healthcare organization, or mission-driven team that could use a fresh pair of eyes on their design, content, communications, or digital projects, I’d love an introduction or a good word. Current projects include branding, graphic design, presentations, websites, instructional design, learning experiences, social media, and strategic communications.
